We've just visited Arizona! Three very nice warm days, but the heat was actually tolerable and becomes comfortable in the late afternoons. We flew from SFO and started our road trip from Las Vegas, Nevada, driving 5 hours to the Grand Canyon South Rim.
From there, we stayed the night in Flagstaff and started the next day exploring the old historic town. Not to be missed is their famous landmark, the Historic Route 66.
After a few hours, we were off to Sedona to check out the famous huge Red Rocks.
At night, we drove straight to the city of Page and stayed the night at Lake Powell Resort and Marinas. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise and a wonderful view of the Glen Canyon National Park. Our morning was spent hiking down the twisted rock arches of the lower Antelope Canyon and in the afternoon, we hiked to Horseshoe Bend. It was definitely a road trip to remember!
